How It Works

1. Consultation
Your bespoke journey begins with a private, in-person consultation at our Eden Prairie atelier. We discuss your vision, silhouette direction, fabric preferences, event timeline, and investment range. Bring inspiration images, swatches, or simply your ideas — our team will guide you through the rest. Virtual consultations are available for out-of-town clients.

2. Quote
Following your consultation, we prepare a detailed project quote outlining the scope of work, materials, timeline, and total investment. You will receive this in writing before any work begins.

3. Quote Acceptance
Once you review and approve the quote, full payment is collected to confirm your project and secure your place in our atelier schedule. Work does not begin until the quote is formally accepted and payment is received in full.

4. Sketch & Design Approval
We develop preliminary sketches based on your consultation and submit them for your review. You approve the design direction, including silhouette, neckline, fabric, and detailing, before pattern drafting begins. Revisions are welcomed at this stage.

5. Construction
Your garment is constructed entirely in-house by our atelier team. We draft a custom pattern to your measurements and build the piece from the ground up using hand-selected materials approved during the design phase.

6. Fittings
We schedule two to three fittings during construction to assess fit, proportion, and finish on your body. Adjustments are made at each stage to ensure the final piece is precise.

7. Final Pickup
After your final fitting and any last refinements, your garment is complete and ready to wear. We will contact you to schedule pickup or coordinate delivery for out-of-town clients.

Cut and constructed for your frame using premium suiting fabrics. Ideal for weddings, formal events, and professional occasions. We work with Italian wool, crepe, and silk blends, with every seam finished in-house. Bespoke suits start at $2,000.

Bridesmaid & Bridal Party
Custom bridesmaid dresses and coordinated bridal party pieces tailored to your color direction and event aesthetic. Pricing varies by design.

Baptism, Milestone & Other Custom Garments
Heirloom-quality pieces for life's most meaningful occasions. We design and construct baptism outfits, first communion dresses, children's formalwear, jumpsuits, stagewear, cultural and traditional dress, and more. Custom projects of this kind start at $1,000. How far in advance should I book a bespoke project?

We recommend booking 12+ weeks in advance. Bridal and highly detailed designs may require more time. Prom and specialty pieces should be scheduled early to secure availability during peak seasons.

We design and tailor a wide range of bespoke garments, including custom wedding dresses, prom gowns, eveningwear, baptism outfits, suits, jackets, jumpsuits, and special-occasion pieces. If you have a vision, our atelier can bring it to life.

How does the bespoke process work?

Your custom journey begins with a consultation to discuss your ideas, inspiration, fabric, silhouette, and budget. We then take detailed measurements, create your pattern, and schedule 2–3 fittings to perfect the design before final pickup.

Do I need to bring inspiration photos?

Photos are helpful but not required. Bring anything that helps express your vision — fabrics, colors, silhouettes, or theme references. Our team can also guide you if you’re unsure of what you want.

Can you create a custom design from scratch?

Yes. Our atelier team can design entirely original pieces based on your ideas, event theme, and personal style. This includes custom sketches, pattern drafting, and sourcing specialty fabrics.

Do you tailor garments purchased elsewhere?

Yes. We offer expert tailoring and couture-level alterations on dresses, gowns, suits, and formalwear purchased at Ellie Belle or elsewhere. Bridal alterations are one of our specialties.

Do you offer rush services?

Rush availability depends on our schedule and the complexity of the project. Rush fees may apply for pieces needed on short notice. Please contact us to check availability.

What fabrics do you work with?

We work with satin, crepe, silk, chiffon, organza, tulle, lace, wool, suiting fabrics, and luxury blends. For custom gowns and suits, we provide fabric options during your consultation.

Can you replicate a dress or suit exactly?

For ethical and legal reasons, we do not copy designer garments stitch-for-stitch. However, we can create a design inspired by silhouettes or elements you love while making it uniquely yours.

Do you work with out-of-town clients?

Yes. Many clients travel to us for bespoke and bridal projects. We will help coordinate fittings to accommodate travel schedules.

How do I book a bespoke consultation?
