Editor's Notes

Monet is a wedding gown that draws its presence from craftsmanship rather than volume. The square neckline anchors the silhouette with quiet confidence, while a modified A-line shape creates effortless movement through the body. Hand-applied Alençon lace appliqués trace the gown with intricate floral detail, and a row of pearl buttons descends to the top of the godet, marking the transition from torso to skirt with the kind of finishing only found in couture construction. Restrained, romantic, and deeply considered.

Why We Love It

Monet is the rare wedding gown that gives a bride three distinct looks within a single silhouette. Worn alone, the gown reads modern and architectural. Layered with the Monet Top, it transforms into a high-neck statement with the romance of illusion sleeves. Styled with the Wessex Gloves, the silhouette shifts again into something that reads off-the-shoulder and softly couture. The pearl buttons descending to the godet are the detail that elevates the entire gown, and they reflect Anne Barge's reverence for finishing details that most designers leave undone.

Style Notes

Best suited to brides drawn to refined silhouettes, hand-finished detail, and the option to evolve their look between ceremony and reception. The square neckline frames the collarbones beautifully and pairs naturally with statement earrings or a bare décolletage. The modified A-line elongates without overwhelming, making Monet equally striking for cathedral ceremonies, garden weddings, and intimate venues. Pair with the Wessex Veil for a fully realized Anne Barge look, or style with a low chignon to let the lace appliqués lead.
